UK-based delivery carrier specialising in irregular and out-of-gauge freight, XDP Ltd, has opened a new depot in Carlisle.
XDP Ltd, the UK’s largest privately owned delivery carrier specialising in irregular and out-of-gauge freight, opens new depot in Carlisle.
Now fully operational it marks a significant step in the company’s continued nationwide expansion.
The new 4,941ft² facility serves 67 postcodes across the Northwest of England and Southern Scotland, closing a gap in XDP’s regional coverage to give faster transit times, and increased capacity for businesses and consumers in the area.
By establishing a stronger local presence in the Carlisle area, XDP is better positioned to support growing customer demand while maintaining the high standards of reliability and service that customers have come to expect.
Isabella Wayte, managing director of XDP Ltd said: “The opening of our Carlisle depot demonstrates the continued growth of XDP’s national network.
“By investing in the region, we’re strengthening our service, while creating new jobs and supporting the local economy.
“This expansion ensures we can continue delivering the reliable, flexible service our customers expect as demand continues to grow.”
