Logistics engineering company Savoye has won a contract to equip a new mechanised logistics site for cosmetics company Sisley.
Sisley is moving its base to a 13 hectare site in the Bethunes business park at Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône north west of Paris.
The 484,375 sq ft building will comprise logistics centres, R&D facilities and admin services.
To oversee the development of the site, Sisley appointed the consultancy firm ELCIMAI that in turn selected Savoye for the implementation of mechanised solutions, split case and full case preparation line, an automatic launching station, three labellers, weight checking, crosswise strapping and automatic sorting systems to enable international deliveries.
Savoye have also supplied the facility with its PAC600 machines including a box erector, two tunnels and two lidding machines. Savoye have created a bespoke WCS using the WMS from SAP. This will allow 1500 split case boxes to be prepared and 1700 boxes to be sorted per hour.
Sisley will begin operating from the new site in January 2011.
