Peel Ports has appointed Briggs Equipment UK to undertake the engineering maintenance of its operational plant and equipment at the Port of Liverpool.
Briggs will be responsible for the maintenance requirements of a multi-million pound asset base, which spans some 1,200 acres.
The contract will include ship-to-shore container cranes, quayside cranes, straddle carriers, harbour mobile cranes and other mobile equipment for port operations.
The target for the Port of Liverpool is to have equipment availability at more than 98 per cent, along with statutory and planned preventative maintenance programs.
