Sox Express, the Irish sock manufacturer, has appointed Advanced Supply Chain to run a warehousing and distribution operation for customer Asda.
It chose Advanced to handle their warehousing contract after starting work with the logistics provider’s transport team. Operations director Robert Leckie said: “We had used Advanced for delivering product to our customer’s distribution centres and were so impressed by the people and the service that we moved our entire warehousing contract to them as well.”
Sox Express was founded in 2009 and supplies socks to major UK retailers, including Matalan, George at Asda, Dunnes and H & M. It makes almost 100 million pairs of socks a year.
