RH Freight has formed a new partnership with German transport company, Cordes and Simon.
RH exports twice weekly to Germany and in return daily shipments are sent from Villingen-Schwenningen to RH’s hubs in West Thurrock and Nottingham. RH estimates that it will initially handle around 800 shipments per month to and from the Black Forest region and the UK.
Germany has become one of RH’s biggest markets and it handles over 9000 consignments per month between Germany and the UK.
Antonio Carneiro, branch manager for international relations at Cordes & Simon’s Villingen-Schwenningen hub said: “We saw RH as having a similar footing in the UK to ourselves here in Germany.
“We feel that given the high standards of the two companies, this innovative step will enable us both to develop our strength in the market and enhance our services to customers.”
