Direct UK has expanded its operation at Heywood Distribution Park. The company, which distributes clothing to high street retailers such as Zara, H&M and French Connection, has agreed terms on a new warehouse currently being built off J3 of the M66 in Greater Manchester.
Direct UK will move from its existing facility at Heywood to a new 30,000 sq ft trans-shipment centre in March next year.
Russell Marnoch, managing director of Direct UK, said: “Our view has always been to operate our northern division from bespoke premises and while other distribution parks were considered, the flexibility to expand our operation as the business has grown has been well accommodated at Heywood.
“Obviously, with the type of stock we handle we need a secure environment and the Park has always been a leader is this respect.”
