APL Logistics has won an expansion to its distribution contract with luxury crystal and ceramics producer Waterford Wedgwood.
APL already provides logistics services between China and the UK, following Waterford Wedgwood’s acquisition of Royal Doulton in 2005. The new contract includes all UK imports and exports to worldwide markets for the group’s Wedgwood and Royal Doulton brands.
Waterford Wedgwood’s international freight & trade manager, Karen Chawner, said: “APL Logistics has a global reach and a valuable business ethic of treating customers on an individual basis, and not just as another account. We have been impressed by the service we have experienced with our trial shipments and look forward to this being extended through our global supply chain.”
