NYK Logistics has been appointed to provide a storage, national distribution and export service for Haribo, the manufacturer of fruit gums and jellies.
The £3.8 million contract over two years, is with the UK division, Haribo Dunhills, Base in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
NYK Logistics has dedicated 80,000 sq ft of its South Yorkshire distribution network to the operation. The company is carrying out deliveries to major multiples’ regional distribution centres and independent outlets across the UK. More than 1,800 pallets are handled on a weekly basis.
Included in the range of added value services, NYK Logistics is facilitating the back haulage of ex-factory Haribo products for Tesco.
