Internet giant Amazon is thought to have snagged a second unit at Harworth’s Multiply development at Logistics North in the North West.

It is believed to have secured the final 131,300ft2 unit as a pre-let on Phase 3 of the scheme after taking a 149,300ft2 Grade A warehouse as part of Phase 2 in June this year. Amazon has not confirmed the transactions.

This letting marks the final unit to be developed on the whole 430,000ft2 Multiply scheme which was started in 2017.

Elsewhere at Logistics North, Harworth completed the direct development of a 50,800ft2 unit, LN50, in May. The unit was designed to allow it to be Net Zero Carbon in operation, and has now been let to a manufacturing occupier.

Lynda Shillaw, Chief Executive, Harworth Group said:  “This letting marks the conclusion of our highly successful Multiply joint venture at Logistics North. In just eight years Harworth has transformed Logistics North into a nationally significant industrial & logistics scheme through a combination of joint ventures, direct development, and plot sales. Harworth has an extensive 26.2 million ft2 pipeline of industrial & logistics developments, and we look forward to replicating this success across our other sites.”
