DSV is to open a logistics facility in Ghent, Belgium, specifically aimed at catering to the rapidly changing healthcare industry in Europe.

The facility is a 10,500 sq m (113,022 sq ft) extension on the existing distribution centre in Ghent due to open in July. The centre is now a total of 36,000 sq m dedicated to the healthcare segment.

The pharmaceutical industry is required to navigate “more finely divided customer segmentations, a quick flow of product launches and new types of distribution networks,” said DSV global business development director – healthcare & life sciences Nouzha Ouaamar.

The DSV network covers more than 80 countries worldwide with its prime location in Belgium in Western Europe.
