3PL Eddie Stobart is to get a 1.1 million ft2 logistics site in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
The 3PL has agreed to lease two 565,000ft2 units which will be delivered by next summer.
Logistics Manager broke the story that the 3PL would be taking space at Mulberry Developments’ 2.5 million ft2 Mulberry Logistics Park Doncaster in South Yorkshire in July this year.
The new deal sees global real estate investor BentallGreenOak forward funding the site, located at Junction 34 of the A1M. It will comprise two separate, BREEAM Excellent, 18m high, cross-docked 565,000ft2 warehouses that will be delivered in the middle of 2022.
Gareth Purcell, Managing Director at BentallGreenOak said: “We are delighted to have been able to work in close partnership with the excellent teams at Mulberry and Eddie Stobart to deliver this large and innovative transaction.
“We continue to have high conviction in the UK logistics market with this deal representing our ninth acquisition in the last ten months with a total combined area of approximately 7 million ft2.”
Mark Day, Development director at Mulberry added: “It is always a great pleasure when deals of this scale come together, especially when there is such a close partnership between Tenant, Investor and Developer.
“We are looking forward to seeing these two buildings complete next year and have now started marketing a second phase which can provide warehouse buildings of up to 1.2m ft2.”
Mulberry Logistics Park totals 396 acres and has planning for units from 350,000 – 1.2 million ft2.
