Spittle to chair NHS supply chain management company

Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL), the management function of the new NHS Supply Chain has appointed Jim Spittle as its first independent non-executive chair.

Spittle spent many years with Tesco before moving to Kingfisher where he spent eight years as group supply chain director.

Since 2001, he has held a number of executive roles and non-executive director roles, including as chair of GS1UK, Cranfield University Advisory Board and at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport as past president and current vice president.

“I am delighted to be joining the board as chair of SCCL at a time of significant transformation and do not underestimate the forthcoming challenges and significant opportunities ahead of us in the need to drive more value throughout the Supply Chain.
