Walker Logistics hashired Colin Blackall as senior operations manager. The fulfilment specialist, based in Berkshire, aims to bring in a number of “key arrivals” over the next few months – to tie in with plans to grow the company.
Blackall leaves his role at Wincanton, where he was involved in the operation of Morrisons and Marks and Spencer. Blackall has also worked with Sainsbury’s, Entertainment UK and Ann Summers during his long career in logistics.
Managing director of Walker Logistics, Bob Montague, said: “We see the role of the senior operations manager as vitally important within our company as we strive to sustain the levels of service and professionalism that our existing customers have come to expect and deliver a first class service to our new contracts.”
