Online fulfilment company Western Post UK has taken on a 15-year lease on a refurbished warehouse and industrial unit totalling 67,802 sq ft at Solar Park in Solihull to join existing occupiers Telefonica, Amtico and Sytner.
The warehouse has 13 dock level loading doors and the unit has a separate loading yard, staff parking for 160 vehicles, and fully fitted office accommodation across two floors. The quoting rent is £7.00 per sq ft and the letting includes additional land which can be used for the expansion of the building in future or to provide HGV parking.
“The decision to undertake a full strip out and refurbishment of the old John Lewis unit has proved to be well timed to meet the market demand,” said Chris Kershaw from GVA. “This unit has provided an ideal upgrade for the occupier in terms of both size and specification and the addition of the expansion plot provides opportunities to accommodate future growth.”
