UKWA award winners revealed

Iain Speak, CEO of Bibby Supply Chain Services, was awarded the UKWA chairman’s award on Wednesday at the association’s annual awards ceremony.

Chairman John Maguire presented the award to Speak in recognition of his significant contribution to the warehousing industry over many years.

The other winners of the 2014 UKWA awards were also revealed. They were:

For the firm showing the highest professional standards of warehousing on joining UKWA.

For outstanding team effort resulting in increased productivity and/or profit.

Customer service award
For a fir with customer focused culture and insights.

Warehouse manager of the year
For excellent all round personal and professional qualities reflected in an efficient operation.
Natalie Wilkinson, Potter Logistics

Young employee of the year award
Open to any employee not in a supervisory role under the age of 25.
Lily Arnold, PF Whitehead Logistics

Junior manager of the year For anyone who has made an impact in less than two years in a management role.
Nick Godden, Wincanton
