Welconstruct has completed a fit out and refurbishment project at Sainsbury’s TU clothing distribution centre in Coventry. The £1.5m scheme has enabled the retailer to double the storage space of its TU clothing range at the city base.  Work on the site began in April and completes this month, reworking 120,000 sq ft of distribution centre space.
Simon Wilkins, project manager at Welconstruct said: “Sainsbury’s pre retail and distribution  operation in Coventry deals exclusively with its TU range and the expansion has come about directly as a result of increased sales.
“We were instructed on the basis of our wide ranging experience in the retail sector and our ability to identify more efficient and highly cost effective measures to benefit the centre.”
The leading fit out and refurbishment specialist has installed a mezzanine floor, multi-tier shelving system, pallet racking, goods lifts, lighting, sprinklers, smoke detection, racking and conveyors.
