Iveco has invested £11.5m in expanding its range of ready-bodied trucks to include heavier distribution and general haulage trucks.
Until now the DriveAway range has been limited to 3.5 and 7.5 tonne models. New additions include:
* 12 tonne curtainside and box-body Eurocargo rigids, and 18 tonne Eurocargo curtainside rigids.
* 26 tonne Stralis rigids with curtainside rigids
* Temperature-controlled rigids from 7.5 to 26 tonnes
Iveco said the move would reduce the average new-build lead times from approximately 14 weeks to just three weeks.
Business director Stuart Webster said: “Our launch models have been specifically chosen to suit sectors where new assets can often be required at short notice, such as when a new contract comes in and the work starts almost immediately.”
